The Oppor­tu­ni­ty

We seek a Work Health and Safe­ty ( WHS) Man­ag­er who will assist Alice Springs Town Coun­cil main­tain strong oper­a­tional com­pli­ance and con­tin­u­ous improve­ment of its safe­ty culture. 

Your respon­si­bil­i­ties will include but not lim­it­ed to devel­op, imple­ment and main­tain an effec­tive organ­i­sa­tion work­place Health and safe­ty sys­tem, mon­i­tor­ing the safe­ty of work­place envi­ron­ment and iden­ti­fy­ing risks and haz­ards to min­imise Coun­cil’s expo­sure to risk. You are also respon­si­ble for ongo­ing train­ing needs analy­sis relat­ing to the WHS and the devel­op­ment, deliv­ery and coor­di­na­tion of WHS- relat­ed train­ing to the Coun­cil’s work­force includ­ing the Exec­u­tive and Elect­ed Mem­bers where required.

• Attrac­tive salary of $.119,384.16 exclu­sive of super­an­nu­a­tion plus dis­trict allowance — $ 2611 w/​dependents, $1498 w/​o on pro-rata basis.
• 6 weeks annu­al leave with addi­tion­al gen­er­ous leave enti­tle­ments on pro-rata basis.
