PositionThe Senior Manager H&S is responsible for transforming safety leadership and culture through innovative strategic and operational management of the work health and safety function in order to ensure the highest standards across the breadth of our total deployed workforce. It provides strategic direction for, and implementation of, a contemporary and comprehensive safety-management-system which provides robust quality assurance and fosters a proactive safety culture based on accountability, trust and ethical behaviour across the Corporation’s activities.With 5 direct reports and 8 indirect, key interactions for this role include: Board, Executive Leadership Team, Senior Leader Group, All Employees, External customers and stakeholders including regulators, peak bodies and government agencies (as per Single Point of Accountability Standard) Senior ManagerHealth & Safety Appropriate qualifications, ideally at postgraduate level, in health and safety, organisational psychology or other relevant field Multidisciplinary team building to achieve health and safety outcomes with a focus on continuous improvement. Leadership of organisational culture change and business process transformation. Development of contemporary WHS strategies, methodologies and initiatives, particularly the design, implementation and evaluation within a large complex organisation. Leadership of organisational attainment and retention of ISO45001 certification Effectively building formal and informal relationship networks inside and outside the organisation.
