  • Clerk Grade 7/8 with salary ranging from $106,025 to $117,363 plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

About the role

The role has strong relationships with its customers and collaborates with key internal and external partners to deliver timely, efficient services and advice to support customer needs and meet service delivery requirements.

  • Collaborate within the team and with multiple stakeholders to achieved desired results
  • A unique and exciting opportunity to maximise efficiencies and deliver key project outcomes

This unit provides direction on service delivery strategies, learning and organisational development solutions, employee engagement programs, culture change strategies and assisting with the implementation of key organisation policies to deliver continuous improvement in health safety and wellbeing across the department.

About you

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to manage time efficiently, effectively and work towards tight deadlines to deliver results
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to collaborate well with others

Key Knowledge and experience

  • Preferred experience in a Work Health and Safety related field
  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

Essential requirements of the role

  • Current and valid driver's license and an ability and willingness to travel between work sites
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the values of public education.

As a condition of employment, successful candidates who have not previously worked for the department will be required to provide a current Working with Children Check (WWCC) Clearance number. This option would allow the WWCC to naturally expire without further communication needed with the employee. The employer obligations under the WWCC would apply for duration of the WWCC's validity (up to 5 years)
