About the Role
This full-time, permanent role is located at Panorama with some regional travel required, and reports to the General Manager Day Options, Experiences & NDIS Business Support. This role is responsible for promoting a culture of continuous improvement in a disability service environment and enhances the well-being of both staff and clients.
Key responsibilities include:
- Work collaboratively to develop and deliver safety strategies
- Raise awareness of safety in the workplace
- Provide advice to promote a positive, safe, and healthy work environment
- Review, monitor and improve departmental quality systems
- Participate in audits and performance improvement reviews
This role is suited to an individual with strong problem-solving skills who can work comfortably in ambiguity. You will genuinely care about the health and well being of our front line staff as well as the people they support, and you will get a strong sense of achievement from seeing how a safe and healthy workplace can contribute to the happiness and satisfaction of our clients.
Other knowledge, skills and attributes include:
- Certificate IV in WHS
- Exposure or understanding of the disability sector
- A passion and desire to support people with disability live the life they choose
- A strong understanding of WHS legislation and standards & NDIS practice standards
- A National Police Clearance (no older than six months old)
- Driver’s licence
- NDIS worker screening clearance, or other NDIS approved clearance to work in the disability sector
- Evidence of right to work in Australia
- 100 points of identification
