Your new company
Your new organisation is a local government organisation looking for a Work Health Safety professional with experience in Learning & Development to join their team on an initial contract of 6 months with a potential view to permanency.
Your new role
In your new role you will be responsible for:
- Consulting with managers and HR to determine WHS and mandatory training requirements.
- Developing a finalised corporate and mandatory training register and creating procedures to ensure appropriate administration.
- Updating selection criteria of all position descriptions.
- Assisting with consulting staff, managers and a consultative committee.
- Auditing staff qualifications, accreditations and licences.
- Identifying organisational training needs based on the audit.
- Support Senior Organisational Learning Officer with initiatives relating to the project.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed, you will ideally:
- Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience with demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or ability to obtain a certificate
- Current driving licence and ability and willingness to travel
- Experience in local government
