Hybrid

The Workers' Compensation and Wellbeing Business Partner will oversee the end-to-end process of insurance claims and drive initiatives to promote employee wellbeing across Australia. This role ensures the effective handling of claims, coordinates wellness programs, and communicates benefits and wellness strategies to all team members within the region.

This is a permanent opportunity based in Artarmon, but Perth, Brisbane or Newcastle will also be considered as a base location. The successful candidate will pride themselves on their strong stakeholder engagement and experience in partnering with diverse team members, which are crucial to ensuring the health, safety, and overall wellbeing of our teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.

  • Oversee and manage the end-to-end process for all Workers' Compensation insurance claims.

  • Work closely with the HR and SHE teams to integrate wellbeing initiatives and practices for effective and measurable injury-prevention and engagement.

  • Liaise with insurance providers to ensure efficient processing of claims.

  • Undertake claims renewals on behalf of Weir Minerals Australia.

  • Assess, determine and promote employee wellbeing services and benefits

  • Develop and implement strategic claims management and health & Wellbeing initiatives in alignment with business objectives.

  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders including insurers, healthcare providers, and vendors.

  • Oversee the budget for claims and wellbeing initiatives, ensuring maximum ROI.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

  • Qualification in occupational health, safety or a related field is desirable, but not essential.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • At least 5 years' experience in claims management and/or corporate wellbeing initiatives.

  • Demonstrated understanding of insurance claims processes and regulations.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
