Role Overview:
The Administration and Rostering Coordinator is required to ensure Spic N Span provide exemplary individual supports to people with disability/aged care following the NDIS/Aged Care practice standards and guidelines. The Rostering Coordinator is to provide the team of gardeners and/or cleaners and/or support workers and/or team leaders with information, guidance, training, and support whilst keeping them motivated and performing at their best.
The primary role of the Administration and Rostering Coordinator is responsible for managing administrative tasks and coordinating employee schedules within Spic N Span. This role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities:
- To contribute to the operational objectives of the organisation
- To take overall responsibility for staff training, coordination and supervision of work, scheduling work programmes and liaising/coordinating with other services and programmes
- Assist the HR Team with recruitment, induction, and the training of disability support workers, cleaners and gardeners
- Plan, implement, coordinate, manage and evaluate all aspects of Rostering for Wacol, Brisbane
- Ensure that staff best practice standards are met for the disability supports provided
- Provide assistance and supervision to support staff employees and Team Leaders.
- Manage day-to-day administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence.
- Maintain office supplies and equipment inventory, ensuring necessary items are stocked.
- Handle incoming calls, emails, and inquiries, directing them to the appropriate person or department.
- Independently solve problems of limited difficulty using knowledge, judgement, work organisation skills
- Maintain competency of skills and cover shifts when required
- Manage and plan your own work
- Exercise initiative in the application of work procedures, establish goals, objectives and outcomes for the complex care team
- Provide secretarial and/or administrative support requiring a high degree of judgement, initiative, confidentiality, and sensitivity in the performance of work.
Key Requirements:
- Willing to start at 6am once or twice a week to open
- Previous experience in a Rostering Role or similar role is desirable
- Genuine desire to provide the best quality support for people with disabilities.
- Reliable character.
- Proficient in the operations of the computer and Rostering platforms.
- Proficient in the use of the Microsoft office suite.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to work and communicate effectively with participants, their families, community agencies and other professionals.
- Ability to work in a very busy environment and to work both independently and as a part of a team.
- Understanding of privacy and confidentiality issues.
- Valid Driver’s License.
