Additional information
• This role is Permanent, Full-time 76 hours per/fortnight.
• As our store operates 7 days per week, you must have the availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day and evening shifts. You also have the availability to work alternating weekend shifts (both Saturday and Sunday).
• A pre-employment check will be required before you are successful for this position.
About this work area
As a People Planning Specialist your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Implementing the people planning strategy at a unit level, following principles/ guidelines as localised by the country People and Culture Team.
• Managing the full function of the store staffing optimisation process from forecasting to the execution of the schedule by posting schedules in a timely manner.
• Ensuring adherence to IKEA’s employment standards and legal requirements relating to People Planning.
• Collaborating with the Unit’s recruiting team to ensure vacancies are filled with the appropriate contract and availability to ensure the best possible customer meeting.
• Identifying possible improvements in the unit people planning process and escalate any potential deviation when the scheduled or actual hours exceed the agreed financial framework.
Who you are
As a People Planning Specialist you are or you have:
• Experience working with Microsoft Excel at an intermediate to advanced level.
• A highly developed ability to analyse complex data and deliver the information to stakeholders in a simple to understand format.
• A drive to improve current ways of working to enable successful outcomes for the customer, the co-worker, and the business.
• Highly developed communication & influencing skills with the ability to communicate clearly and confidently to all levels of the business, both verbally and in writing.
• Excellent attention to detail, can multi-task and can remain calm and agile in the face of changing business priorities.
• Working knowledge in forecasting, scheduling, budget adherence and reporting within a workforce management system (KRONOS is preferred).
