- Human resources or industrial relations experience, must have a thorough understanding of contracts of employment, employment legislation and interpretation of industrial instruments
- HRIS reporting expertise and an ability to design and run reports, and /or work with key stakeholdes on report requirements. Must be able to standardise raw data into a consumable format.
- Must be able to create and track HR metrics
- Must be proficient in MS Excel (e.g. advanced formulas, pivot tables, charts, lookups etc)
- Relevant qualification in Employment Law/Industrial Relations or HR
- Payroll or remuneration and benefits experience
- Experience with rostering or a medical workforce
- Previous experience working on an intergration, divestment or merger
- An understanding of capabilities, curiosity and openness to learning and an ability to drive assigned activities to completion
- Create an inventory of all transitioning employees and relevant terms, conditions, and benefits including employment compliance requirements e.g., Working with Children Checks, AHPRA registration etc. All data is checked against payroll reports, contract of employment industrial instruments and local agreements.
- Create a monthly report on the in-perimeter list documenting key employment metrics, i.e., number of new starters, leavers, trending insights into leave, attrition, recruitment, FTE/headcount that is represented in a succinct and suitable format for executive committees.
- Make recommendations to the development of PNW employment artefacts (contract of employment, position descriptions etc)
- Enable the PNW offer and acceptance process which requires impeccable attention to detail, an understanding of the contact of employment and the tech savviness to manage a digital mail distribution
- Preparation of employee records - e.g. collating all materials into a central repository to enable employee data migration
- Participate in other Human Resources activities and projects as required to support the project
- Review current state of parkville people policies site people policies on local intranet or embedded in quality management system and make recommendations for changes
- Contribute to the development of a PNW suite of people policies
- Capture all local employee benefits a i.e., parking or staff discounts
- Providing ad-hoc support to the People and Culture Lead and or the PNW Program in relation to workforce data deliverables
- An ability to deep dive into different workforce issues as they arise during the project
- Work collaboratively and effectively with local P&C HR team and the PNW project team
- Establish clear communication and effective communication with pathology department and senior stakeholders
- Strong collaboration and engagement with PNW project and Precinct stakeholders.
- Respond to allocated stakeholder enquiries in a timely manner, seeking advice and guidance from HR Partner where required
- Effectively builds formal and informal networks across the Parkville precinct
- Very attentive to accuracy and detail and ensures data is validated
- An ability to develop a clear understanding of requirements to stakeholders and an ability to develop working relationship
