The role:
Reporting to the Head of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) and Climate Transition within Business and Private Banking (BPB), the focus of this role is to provide vital data and insights to assist our customers and our organisation in pursuit of our ESG & Climate related objectives your day-to-day role will include:
- Leading the sourcing, compilation & analysis of data from across BPB and parts of CIB and PB to develop insights that drive the operationalisation of NZBA/Climate initiatives
- Work closely with a vast and diverse cohort of stakeholders including but not limited to the Climate Team, B&PB Commercial and Frontline teams to support data acquisition and analysis
- Synthesise findings and develop clear, concise and structured presentations with clear recommendations that enhance understanding of opportunities and implications for the business.
- Develop, maintain, and improve analytical tools, aids and models to support and challenge development of B&PB's baseline emissions calculations and decarbonisation progress
What you will bring:
To set up our next team member for success, we are looking for candidates with;
- Demonstrated experience analysing complex data sets to derive insights, able to consider and contextualise data sources, collection and structure to provide accurate and meaningful insights (in a banking/finance environment preferred)
- Creative problem solving, able to find innovative and unconventional solutions through their expertise and navigate their way through obstacles with confidence
- High proficiency in Excel and Power BI and the Microsoft suite of applications
- Well-developed stakeholder management, can nurture strong working relationships with
- Outstanding communication both written and verbal, can confidently communicate complex information in a precise manner tailored to a variety of audiences
- Good operational awareness, applies their deep business understanding to identify opportunities for optimisation and continuous growth
