We are looking for a passionate and experienced Workplace Trainer and Assessor to join our dynamic team.
Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Workplace Trainer and Assessor with a strong background in industry health and safety. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering face-to-face training sessions, both theoretical and practical, to diverse groups of participants. This role requires an individual who is physically fit, has hands-on industry experience, and is willing to travel to various training locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality training sessions in health and safety to a variety of client groups, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Develop, review, and update training materials and resources to ensure they are current and effective.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations of participants' skills and knowledge, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Maintain accurate records of training sessions, participant attendance, and assessment results.
- Travel to various training sites as required, which may include remote, regional, interstate and overseas locations.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and legislative changes in health and safety.
- Provide guidance and support to participants, fostering a positive and engaging learning environment.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their specific training needs and tailor programs accordingly.
- Ensure all training equipment and facilities are maintained and prepared for use.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Cert IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Knowledge of VET systems and practices
- Proven experience in delivering face-to-face training and assessments to groups.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage and motivate participants with diverse backgrounds and learning styles.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Physically fit and capable of conducting practical training sessions that involve manual handling.
- Willingness to travel to various training locations, including overnight stays when necessary.
- Current driver's license.
Desirable:
- Experience in developing training programs and materials.
- Familiarity with Microsoft office programs and computer skills
- First Aid certification.
- Firefighting and emergency operations.
