In this role, you’ll
Support and influence our teams to ensure our business unit:
- Complies with TfNSW quality, safety, traffic and environmental systems for our maintenance activities and construction projects
- Understands and manages risk
- Manages contractors and suppliers, and
- Completes workplace checklists and inspections that underpinned our safety, quality and environmental principles
Be integral to generating ideas and implementing solutions to ensure our processes and finished work product meets TfNSW standards, ensuring roads meet their intended purpose and ultimately providing a better outcome for our communities. You will need to have a strong understanding of good quality construction and maintenance procedures.
Work collaboratively with maintenance and construction staff, supervisors, engineers and management to support and deliver a safe and productive workplace.

About you
You're confident, proactive and experienced in road works (or a similar industry) and you have the ability to understand and apply risk management, quality assurance and specifications to our work. You are passionate about safety and quality assurance and have an attention to detail that is dedicated to the success of our final product. Technology is no issue as you are confident operating and adapting to various systems over your career.
You have proven experience working independently and collaboratively with others. Key to your success in this role is your ability to think outside the box and positively influence others to achieve positive outcomes.
You have experience operating at a Road Worker Grade 3 level or industry equivalent. You must possess a valid in-date C Class driver licence and White Card.
You may be required to work outside normal working hours (including day+night works), attend after hour call-outs, and must be prepared to travel throughout the state and work at locations away from the base station.
Whilst not essential, a Traffic Control qualification and a strong technical understanding of TfNSW quality specifications will be highly regarded.
Note: This position is a Full-Time Fixed Term (Limited Duration) with an end date of 30/01/2026.
