Avida is a family-owned business, proudly manufacturing quality Motorhomes and Caravans in Australia since 1965. Located in Emu Plains in Western Sydney, NSW, we have a dealer sales and service network throughout Australia and New Zealand.
Due to an internal promotion, we are seeking to appoint a Workshop Controller to ensure our customers and their vehicles receive effective and quality-driven servicing.
This is an exciting time in our business as we continue to grow and develop our LEAN practices, as we strive for World Class.
The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Aftersales Manager, you will be responsible for supervising the team of technicians in our onsite department that services and repairs motorhomes and caravans.
This is a hand-on leadership role that requires a positive attitude with strong communication and problem-solving skills. You will play a vital role ensuring maximum efficiency and productivity targets are met in the service department.
The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Managing deadlines
- Quality control of completed jobs
- Driving our customer satisfaction standards and after-sales experience in the service department.
- Distribution of daily jobs to team members
- Conducting servicing tasks when demands are high
- Supporting and developing our team members
- Ability to review and identify key actions to deliver continuous improvements
- Knowledge and application of 5S and LEAN principles
- Compliance to WH&S standards at all times
- Driving our goals on Safety, Quality, Speed, Cost and our People

All about You:
- Previous experience as a Workshop / Service Controller in a workshop environment
- Strong focus on providing high quality customer service
- Strong understanding of Service department processes
- Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
