About the role:
Tynan Motors has a unique opportunity for an experienced Workshop Controller/Workshop Manager to oversee and manage our Multi franchise service department in Kirrawee.
We have 2 workshop controllers due to our daily volumes; this position is 1 of 2 controllers.
As an experienced workshop controller you will ensure a high quality of work and guide and motivate our team of experienced Technicians/Apprentices.
Key responsibilities:
- Managing workshop flow, whilst adhering to completion times
- You will be allocating jobs and effectively managing the workflow in the workshop.
- Managing workshop efficiencies and productivity in accordance with set KPI's.
- Managing and leading a team to deliver quality workmanship, productivity and efficiency
- Ensure all tasks including service, maintenance, diagnosis and repair works are performed in line with brand policy, procedure and compliance requirements
- Supervising and organising training
- Assisting technicians with diagnosing problems
- Responsible for payroll of technician
- Workshop supplies stock ordering
- Liaising with manufacturer technical teams
- Ensuring all warranty procedures have been adhered to
- Monitor and manage Workshop activity to ensure profitability is maximised
- achieving workshop budgets
- You will be accountable for ensuring that the highest standard of quality workmanship is being produced by the Service Centre, through effective supervision and training of all team members.
- Contribute to the financial and operational performance of the workshop as well as maintain the highest standard of workmanship.
- Ensuring WHS compliance
About you:
- You will be an experienced workshop controller or foreman looking at taking the next step in your career
- Experience with our brands; highly regarded
- Strong product & technical knowledge
- ERA / ERA NET and experience with electronic job scheduling - essential.
- Results orientated
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills
- Strong customer service & communication skills
- Current NSW Drivers licence
- Mechanic trade qualifications
- AC & Rego License – highly regarded
