Are you a skilled technician with a passion for heavy equipment and trucks? Our client, a leading employer in an essential services industry, is seeking a Workshop Service Technician to join their dynamic team. This role offers a diverse range of tasks, including diagnostic work on mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components, scheduled maintenance, and installations, all within the comfort of a well-equipped workshop.
The Role: As a Workshop Service Technician, you will be responsible for:

• Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults in heavy equipment and vehicles.
• Performing comprehensive breakdown and routine servicing.
• Completing and submitting detailed job reports.
• Delivering excellent customer service.
• Managing OH&S safety requirements.
• Collaborating with team members and occasionally working on larger jobs.
• Visiting client sites and reporting to the workshop as required.

What You'll Need:

• Experience working on heavy vehicles and/or materials handling machinery, including crushers and compactors.
• Trade qualification such as Mechanical Fitter, Boilermaker, Diesel Mechanic, or Auto-Electrician, or significant demonstrable experience.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaborate with team members.
• Clean driver's license – HR license is desirable (or willingness to obtain).
• Physical fitness and ability to carry out basic manual handling as required.
• Work rights to live and work in Australia.
