Workshop Technician

Genie is a Terex brand which provides high quality EWP's, scissor & boom lift equipment throughout Australia.
 

The Workshop Technician is responsible for the maintenance of Genie access equipment throughout the Perth area.

Responsibilities

• Carry out major inspection and maintenance over extended periods of all company support product.
• Liaise with workshop management and stock controller regarding machine status and requirements.
• Maintenance report of machinery daily as directed.
• Monitoring, upkeep and reporting any concerns relating to equipment property, team members and utilities.
• Strip and rebuild machine components.
• Ensure all paperwork is completed and submitted on time and accurately.
• Use hazard identification tools and systems to ensure safe work practices are used and work areas are hazard free.

Skills and Qualifications

Our ideal applicant will have experience with Elevating Work Platforms and hold a trade certificate within a Mechanical field, as well as a current Australian driver's license. The following are desirable attributes:

• Experience in the Access Industry (desired).
• Hydraulics and Electrical experience.
• A current trade certificate with a Mechanical/Fitting background or equivalent experience.
• Confident oral and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated with an ability to manage time and workload autonomously and within the overall team environment.
• Capable of reviewing technical problems in detail.
• A positive approach is essential to succeed in this position.
