Scottech Oilfield Services is the leading rental and service provider of filtration and Swarf handling equipment, trusted for quality and performance throughout the Australian oil and gas community. We are looking for a Workshop Technician to join our team based out of Forrestdale. The individual will be responsible for supporting the maintenance of equipment within the workshop . The ideal candidate should have a strong background in mechanical, electrical, welding or painting along with the ability to work efficiently in a challenging fast paced environment.
Qualifications & experience
- A technical certification in a relevant field and previous experience working in the oil and gas sector is preferred but not essential. Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, blasting / painting, and welding is sought after.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Carry out the maintenance and test running of filtration and pumping equipment.
- Fault finding, repair and servicing of mechanical and electrical equipment.
- blasting and painting of pumps, tanks and framework.
- Cleaning and pressure testing hoses.
- loading and unloading of trucks.
- Welding and fabrication.
- Preparing test certification and equipment service sheets.
