The College is currently seeking the following applicants to commence term 2.
These positions require the applicant to hold or have the ability to hold a Blue Card.
The positions are term time and can be stand alone or can be any combination:
- Workplace Health and Safety Officer – 2 days per week
- Bus Operations Office – 1 day per week
- Bus Driver – Morning Bus run to Tara 6.00-8.45am, 5 days per week
Workplace Health and Safety Advisor
The Safety Advisor is accountable to the Principal and will maintain key relationships with other College Safety Advisors, DCC colleagues and central office CCM Compliance Personnel.
The Safety Advisor role will advise on all Work Health and Safety matters at the college as well as playing a pivotal role in developing and supporting safety protocols and documentation. Key tasks will include:
· Annual Safety Audits
· Safety Action, Emergency and Critical Management Plans
· Risk Identification and Management
· Ensure the College meets all safety requirements
· On-site management of chemicals, incidents & injuries and delivery of WHS education programs.
While experience in this area is desirable training will be provided.
Bus Operations Officer
The person filling this role would require the following capabilities:
· Hold current applicable licences – drivers licence MR or above, Drivers Authority
· Excellent communication skills
· An ability to prioritise and organise tasks
· Ensure all procedures and documentation is compliant with all stakeholders
· Plan and implement College bus runs and schedules.
· Plan scheduled maintenance for the College buses and vehicles and ensure that buses are mechanically safe in accordance with QT legislation and regulations.
· Implement and maintain all Daily Operational requirements for College Bus Operations including but not limited to: Administration, Staff Rosters, Safety, Mechanical.
· A high level of computer literacy is essential
· Current first aid certificate (this can be completed after appointment).
Bus Driver
The successful applicant will require:
· MR or above licence
· Driver’s Authorisation (DA) would be an advantage or be willing to obtain a DA
