The Opportunity
As a Yard hand / Loader Operator, you will be responsible to run and manage our stockroom, operating front end loader and forklift as required. We have an opportunity for a someone who is looking for a permanent full-time role to join our well-established team as the Yard hand. The role will suit someone who wants to work in a workshop environment, work outside and best of all wants to be active. We have a fully functional workshop, a great team environment and well-established safety processes.
Some key responsibilities of this role include, however are not limited to:
- Loading and unloading of containers and trucks
- Warehousing and stock take duties
- Ensuring yard and warehouse are kept to a safe, tidy, and organised standard.
- Receiving and management of stock, as it is received and distributed. Including, the initial inspection of incoming stock.
- Interpret construction designs, and pick required stock and parts as per design.
Relevant experience and qualifications:
- Front End Loader Ticket
- Minimum HR Licence
- Forklift Licence
- Proficient computer literacy with sound knowledge of Microsoft Office, and data entry abilities
- Strong communication & problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently as well as with a team.
- Excavator Ticket (desirable)
- Knowledge of SA Water parts and fittings (desirable)
This is a full-time permanent role based at the Salisbury Plains Depot, competitive renumeration.
