Our client based in Dandenong specialise in the hire of large Machinery and plant equipment throughout Australia - they have state-of-the-art-equipment all throughout their fleets.
They are currently seeking a Permanent Full-Time Yard Hand to join their team. If you have experience as a Yard Hand or Labourer this may be the role for you.
The shift time for this role are Day Shift 9am - 5pm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating the Counter-Balance forklift to assist with moving of machinery
- Supervise loading and unloading onto transports.
- Manage yard operations to ensure proper storage for transport drivers.
- Receive incoming small petrol vehicles, diesel vehicles and plant machinery
- Conduct initial damage inspections and deliveries
- Clean all plant and equipment before dispatch.
- Refuel all diesel machines, plant machinery and maintain the yard diesel tank.
- Maintain workshop and site cleanliness.
- Perform general yard duties for safety and organization.
Qualifications and Experience
- Previous Yard Hand experience - minimum 12 months experience
- Forklift License with 12 months minimum experience
- Victorian (or Australian equivalent) Drivers License
- Sound knowledge of yard hand/labouring activities
- Ability to adhere to timeframes/deadlines
- Heavy Rigid License - desired but not essential
- Crane License - desired but not essential
- WP Boom Ticket - desired but not essential
