Timber Yard Person

LVL Warehouse is a small but rapidly growing timber yard located in Dandenong South with a focus on framing timbers and building supplies for builders and tradespeople.

We are looking for a yard person to pick and pack, receive deliveries and containers, load customer deliveries, and other operational tasks in the warehouse. You may need to work autonomously when picking and packing, and sometimes attend customers and sales when necessary (training will be provided, is all pretty simple). 

 Role:

• Daily warehouse operational duties including but not limited to stocking shelves, stacking pallets, organising warehouse stock, keeping warehouse clean and tidy etc
• Retail front counter duties including but not limited to operating the POS and EFPOS system to take payment from customers, issuing invoices for walk-in customers, loading customer vehicles with purchased goods etc. 
• Maintain a positive and customer friendly attitude when interacting with customers
• Receiving stock and unloading trucks from suppliers, ensuring all dockets are check and delivered goods are correct
• Loading trucks for deliveries alongside with arranging the correct paperwork for our drivers and engaging in the correct checking processes for delivered stock

Ideally you will:

• Have experience working in a timber yard (desirable but not required) 
• Hold a Forklift licence (essential) 
• Have a responsible attitude towards the job
• Have a welcoming attitude towards customers
