The role

The Youth Activities Support Officer supports the Youth team through:

• supporting the delivery of inclusive activities and events for young people aged 12-25 years.
• assisting with the planning and delivery of the Mondo Lounge Youth Space Program, including the Mondo Lounge School Holiday Program.
• assisting with set up and end of activity duties, including moving furniture and equipment, clean up, food preparation and supervision of program participants as required.
• promoting activities on social media and Council’s youth website.

Our ideal candidate

 To be successful in this role you will have:

• the ability to build positive relationships with young people.
• experience in facilitating groups, programs or activities.
• a Working with Children’s Check.
• sound understanding of Child Safe Standards.
• proficiency in using a range of social media platforms and website management.
• availability to work flexible hours including during school holidays.
• the ability to undertake the physical elements of the role
