Youth Disability Support Worker

Job Description:

We are hiring! Gold Coast Disability and Youth is seeking a Disability Support Worker to join our team. This role involves mentoring clients, supporting their independence, and facilitating group programs. Candidates should be passionate about assisting individuals with disabilities and possess excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Mentor clients to encourage independence in employment and training goals.
• Achieve positive outcomes for clients.
• Empower clients to succeed through various pathways.
• Support clients' personal growth and development.
• Optimize work experience opportunities for clients.
• Maintain documentation of service provision and reporting.
• Develop and implement capacity building, job readiness, and work experience support.
• Assist with group programs, including content generation and facilitation.

Requirements:

• Ability to plan and prepare for client issues.
• Flexibility to work casual hours.
• NDIS Working Screening Check.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification (or ability to obtain).
• Current Blue & Yellow card (or ability to obtain)
• Driver's license and own car.
