Youth Resilience Coordinator

Rural City of Wangaratta is looking for an experienced leader to help deliver and facilitate a unique six-month project for young people in regional Victoria within bushfire and disaster affected communities. This temporary position will require experience in working with young people and responding to specific project funding-based outcomes.
We are looking for an independent, capable candidate who is passionate about helping and supporting young people and their community with resilience, recovery, and future proofing for and after natural disasters. The Youth Resilience Coordinator will work with young people from fire affected areas on an established program that has been running since late 2022. This role will continue the work in supporting place-based, youth-led activities, training, projects, and community decision-making focused on bushfire preparedness, recovery, and resilience. Staff management of a small team is also required.
Applicants should demonstrate a background in leadership, youth engagement and project management. Excellent organisational, budget management and communication skills are essential.
