About the Opportunity
APS4 HR Generalist, 12-month contract with a strong possibility of renewal. This full-time position offers a flexible, hybrid work environment, ensuring a great work-life balance. While the role is based in Geelong or Richmond, some in-office time is required. Only Australian Citizens are eligible to apply.
About the Role
The APS4 HR Generalist is a team member role responsible for applying established policies and procedures to support the agency's objectives. This position provides operational and administrative support, informed by sound knowledge, and may involve research and analysis. The HR Generalist engages with internal and external stakeholders, offering advice and resolving moderately complex enquiries. The role may be assigned to any team or branch within the People & Culture division.
Key Responsibilities
Triaging and Managing COI Queue: Handle the Conflict of Interest queue in the People and Culture Service Desk, including checking the accuracy of forms and ensuring proper approver nominations.
Enquiry Support and Escalation: Manage and respond to various enquiries related to recruitment, general People and Culture activities, and escalate issues that require additional support.
Administrative and Reporting Support: Provide administrative support, including reporting, secretariat functions, and maintaining People and Culture data for regular reporting.
Process Improvement Guidance: Offer support, guidance, and recommendations for enhancing business process efficiency.
Project Assistance: Assist in project delivery through basic research, analysis, and general support tasks.
Requirements
Australian Citizenship
Demonstrated ability to research and interpret information.
Experience with Service Desk (Jira) or ticket system software would be advantageous.
