The opportunity
Our client is a community focused federal government agency. They have an exciting opportunity available for HR Generalist to join the People & Culture Division in supporting staff and managers throughout the employee lifecycle. They support the Agency to provide a safe workplace for staff, to build their capability and foster a positive and inclusive culture.
12-month initial Labour Hire contracts with the opportunity to extend. Multiple positions at APS4 & APS5 level role paying an hourly rate of $43.82 or $55.24 + Superannuation respectively, to be based out of our client’s Geelong location.
Responsibilities will include
- Triaging Conflict of Interest (COI) queue in the People and Culture Service Desk.
- Check accuracy of forms and nominated approver.
- Request approver rectification where necessary.
- Escalate enquiries that require additional support.
- Draw relevant data from the People and Culture Service Desk.
- Managing or responding to enquiries including recruitment activities, general P&C and conformance activities.
- Providing administrative support for teams including reporting and secretariat functions across the division.
- Providing support, guidance, and recommendations for improving the efficiency of business processes.
- Maintaining P&C data to complete regular reporting requirements.
- Assisting in the delivery of projects, performing basic research and analysis.

- Demonstrated ability to research and interpret information.
- Demonstrated ability to consider and effectively manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment, including utilising a positive and proactive approach to problem solving.
- Is able to undertake analysis and assessment of detailed and sensitive information.
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to use technology and information management systems in order to achieve team outcomes.
- Ability to contribute constructively to team activities and cultivate productive working relationships with internal stakeholders.
