1St Fix Carpenter

Applicants MUST BE motivated and willing to learn what is required to become a competent carpenter. Strongbuilt Constructions is looking to add an apprentice and/or qualified carpenter to work as part of a growing team.

Any successful applicants will be required to work with a qualified carpenter assisting with the completion of carpentry and construction site tasks. The primary purpose will be to complete work in a timely manner and to a high standard. To learn the skills required to become a qualified carpenter and build a future in this vibrant and challenging industry. The opportunity to earn more with overtime work is also available to all current employees and successful applicants.

Apprentice applicants should possess the following;

• Should have at least completed a pre-apprenticeship course or have had some exposure to carpentry work
• Applicants who have already commenced their apprenticeship are also welcome to apply.
•  Must be self-motivated and keen to work
• Work well as part of a carpentry team as well as on their own
•  A team player who understands the importance of teamwork, but also has the ability to work individually and show initiative
• Physically fit
• Prepared to work hard and able to keep up in a fast paced environment
• Willing to put in a hard day’s work
• Reliable and punctual
• Committed, reliable, motivated and a good communicator

Qualified applicants should possess the following;

• Trade Certificate
• Construction White Card
• Current open driver’s license
• Good grasp of work place health and safety
• Be able to work unsupervised
• Reliable with a good work ethic
