Employed by MEGT and working with a Local Council you will complete a 3-year apprenticeship, working towards a Certificate III in Parks and Gardens.
What will you be doing?
With work based in Wilson Botanic Park, the Parks and Gardens Apprentice's responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Weeding
- Pruning
- Litter removal
- Brush-cutting and edging
- Plant and transplant flowers, shrubs, trees and lawns
- Weeding and Weed spraying
- Maintain gardens by fertilising and trimming
- Prune trees and hedges
What are we looking for?
- A strong desire to become qualified in Parks and Gardens
- Ability to undertake manual/physical work
- White Card
- Punctual, reliable and energetic
- Drivers Licence and Own Car
- Satisfactory completion of a National Police Check and Pre-employment Medical
- Working with Children's Check
