Are you are an experienced 2 Way Radio technician that knows DMR, P25 and Tetra inside and out? (if not you won't be considered for the role), but if so we want to hear from you!
The Technical Supervisor is responsible for pre and post sales engineering support for all of our clients customers. The role sits between the Technical Service Manager and the Technical team, and is responsible for aligning resources with the workload at hand, to ensure deadlines are met and the high level of service the company is known for is maintained, and exceeded.
Your technical skillset will include;
- Experience with vendors and third party technologies and applications.
- Pre sales engineering ability, site surveys, design and BOM creation.
- Ability to execute all project works and maintenance for radio networks and IP networks
- Experience with infrastructure systems including the understanding of complex engineering integration, design, planning and implementation.
- Managing acceptance and release of conforming products, and taking appropriate action to address any non-conformances
- Client liaison and high level customer service resulting in long term relationships and follow on work.
Your admin skills will need to be up to scratch also
- Technical team supervision and leadership
- Preparation of documents as required for implementation plans, site assessments / surveys, and reports (internal and external).
- Maintenance of general workshop housekeeping and stock levels
- Assistance with organisation and coordination of work activities in the workshop including rack building and testing of systems as required.
- Maintenance of technical equipment, calibration register and tools required by the Technical Services - Manager including vehicles.
- Supervision of technical resources including apprentices and trainees where required
You'll also need the following qualifications and experience
- Certificate III or higher in electronics engineering, RF engineering or related fields of study
- Strong technical knowledge of P25, TETRA, and DMR radio
- Radio Spectrum
- Network based radio systems
- Knowledge of the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) regulatory landscape
- Hold current high risk licence and have confidence working at heights, with EWPs and tower climbing
- Proven success in technical role
If you also have the following experience you will be at the top of the pile
Wireless, IP networking, PAGA, telephony and microwave experience is highly desirable
Public Announcement, radar and display, compass, access control, CCTV, UPS and complex antenna systems experience is desirable.
