2 x MAINTENANCE FITTERS | DAY SHIFT | IMMEDIATE START

We are an Australian owned and operated company located in Brendale QLD with more than 40 years experience in the design, manufacture and supply of quality plastic products to Australian and International markets. 

Reporting directly to the Maintenance Toolroom Supervisor, we are excited to announce we have two positions available for a Maintenance Fitter.  You will be required to  ensure the machines run smoothly and efficiently.  A Trade Qualification as a Fitter or Fitter/Turner would be favoured.  Experience in plastic manufacturing is preferred with knowledge of injection and extrusion machines and an understanding of machine settings would be a bonus but is not essential.  

Maintenance Fitter Responsibilities:

• 5 days per week, 8hrs with nominated rest breaks 
• A SAFETY FIRST attitude, if you see something act on it
• Liaise with Maintenance Supervisor to identify problems and necessary maintenance.
• Assist in completing daily and weekly maintenance schedules .
• Action repairs and ensure that work is completed on time.
• Maintain all inventory and equipment and ensure proper storage.
• Assist with safety inspections as scheduled.
• Comply with all health and safety regulations and practices on site.
• Establish strategies to meet workload demands on time.
• Be actively involved in tool box meetings. 

Maintenance Supervisor Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience as a Maintenance Fitter (preferred).
• A Trade Qualification as a Fitter or Fitter/Turner (preferred)
• Knowledge of Extrusion & injection moulding machinery
• Hydraulic and pneumatic experience preferred
• Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and practices.
• Conduct preventative maintenance work.
• Works well in a high paced environment and meets tight deadlines.
• Great time management skills, strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
