What You Will Be Doing
The Department of Rehabilitation at Peninsula Health is a well-supported and growing unit focused on providing a comprehensive and coordinated range of services/care to patients with a wide range of needs. Inpatient services include 60 beds at the Golf Links road site and 15 beds at Rosebud Hospital.
We are offering Rehabilitation Registrar training positions accredited with the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine (AFRM) at Peninsula Health. These positions are based out of Golf Links Road (Neurological, Orthopaedic, General/ Amputee) and Rosebud Hospital.
All registrars participate in 1-2 on-call shifts per week.
Peninsula Health is committed to encouraging and fostering an environment of continued learning and skill development. Trainees are ensured protected training time. They are encouraged to attend local/National conferences and workshops. In addition they are required to participate in a fortnightly Journal Club, weekly grand rounds, monthly clinical meetings and training sessions. There is also an opportunity to participate in teaching medical students, perform audits and undertake research.
What You Need
•MBBS degree (or equivalent)
•Eligible for registration with AHPRA as a medical practitioner
•Have a minimum of 2 years postgraduate training
•Have joined or otherwise eligible to join the AFRM training program
•Sound clinical knowledge, skills and experience in contemporary medical and evidence based practice
•Ability to work as an effective member of an inter disciplinary team
