2D/3D Animator And Designer

(Hybrid Role) 2 days in office 

About the Role: This role will focus on developing animations for implementation to the Babble Beans game App. This includes character, background and interactive animations for the Babble Beans’ app, website and social media platforms. Additionally you’ll work directly and support the Lead Graphic and Motion Designer to develop digitally branded assets for social, communications, web and digital from time to time, whilst maintaining brand consistency and integrity.

Essential:

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a studio or small team environment, with a focus on Animation and Graphic Design.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Animation and/or Graphic Design (both are most desired).
• Experience with both 2D and 3D animation, including character animation, motion graphics, and visual effects.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, InDesign) and relevant animation software for 2D or 3D animation (such as Maya or Blender).
• Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and composition.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Detail-oriented with a passion for creativity and innovation.
• Portfolio demonstrating a diverse range of design projects and animation samples.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work autonomously to deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• Create visually appealing and exciting character (and other) animations in 2D and/or 3D format (as required), incorporating animation principles where necessary to enhance engagement and storytelling.
• Build storyboards to communicate animation concepts and options to the team.
• Able to manage the end-to-end animation and graphic design process, from conceptualization to final delivery, ensuring adherence to project timelines and brand guidelines.
• Develop and execute creative concepts for various projects (from time to time), including branding, marketing materials, digital campaigns, and multimedia presentations.
• Collaborate closely with team members to understand project objectives, target audience, and brand identity requirements.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in graphic design, animation, and branding, and integrate innovative techniques into projects as appropriate.
• Communicate effectively with the team to solicit feedback, address revisions, and finalize designs for production.
