You'll impact our guests' stay by delivering a consistent quality product across all our food & beverage departments, ensuring a high level of cleanliness and safety in the kitchen, maintaining our brand standards and exceeding our guests' expectations. Working closely with the Executive Chef, Sous Chef, Kitchen Brigade and Service Staff to ensure successful delivery of catering for breakfast, Al a carte Restaurant and Functions.
The applicant needs to be team focused playing a hands-on role with all food preparation and execution of food service.
Key Accountabilities include:
- Prepare and present menu items showing variety and flair, within the cost margins specified by the hotel.
- Enforcing strict health and hygiene standards in all food storage and preparation areas;
- Monitor to ensure food quality, presentation and safety standards are adhered to;
- Ability to work in a team and supervise your own section;
- Ensure that all food preparation tasks assigned are carried out in a timely fashion;
- Ability to troubleshoot any issues that arise within the designated section;
- Have a flexible approach to adapting to guest requests;
