Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic 2nd Year Chef Apprentice to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a 2nd Year Chef Apprentice at Kings Beach Surf Club, you will have the opportunity to refine your skills, work with experienced chefs, and contribute to creating memorable dishes for our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of various dishes under the guidance of senior chefs.
- Learn and execute culinary techniques, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Participate in menu planning and development, contributing innovative ideas.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient operations during service.
- Receive and store kitchen supplies, ensuring proper stock rotation.
- Engage in continuous learning and development to advance your culinary skills.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a recognized chef apprenticeship program and completed the first year.
- Passion for cooking and a strong desire to pursue a career in the culinary industry.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation, cooking methods, and kitchen safety.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a positive attitude.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
