The Roles:
PDI Technician
The PDI role is a workshop role which is focused on the pre-delivery assembly and inspections of new EWP and access equipment. The workshop is often busy and you will be asked to do overtime, to complete a job, or assist the workshop complete a time critical task on a regular basis with this position. You will need to have some back ground in a mechanical role but a trade certificate is not required for this position. However a positive and willing attitude towards work is essential.
Workshop Technician
The objective of our new technicians is to bolster our service capabilities and to increase the service departments output to meet customer demand. This involves hands on technical service and repairs to our range of EWP and Material Handling equipment.
The main duties and day to responsibilities include:
- Operation, inspection and testing of access and Material Handling Equipment for operation and serviceability.
- Diagnosis of electrical, hydraulic and mechanical faults with scan tools and schematics.
- Servicing, preventative maintenance and repairs to access and Material Handling Equipment both in the workshop and it the field.
- Liaising with customers, other staff members and management in relation to job requirements, details and progress.
- Carry out all work in a safe and professional manner to a high quality of workmanship.
Candidate Requirements
We may be a big company, but we do work in small teams, and at times autonomously. So candidates with a positive attitude towards work and their work colleagues is essential for this role.
- Trade qualified Plant/Heavy Mechanic, Mechanical Engineer, light mechanic or similar (Workshop Technician role prerequisite)
- Experience working on EWPs, Access or Material Handling Equipment highly regarded.
- Strong technical ability with sound knowledge of the workings of diesel-powered equipment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Driver license.
The Offer
On offer to the maintenance technicians and field technicians is a extremely competitive rate from $35-$45 per hour (PDI) and $45-$46.50 per hour (WS Tech), plus a very motivating annual company bonus, plus overtime rates and opportunity, superannuation, PPE and laundered uniform.
