Form of workInner Sydney Montessori School is seeking a trained Assistant Educator to join our Preschool and Kindergarten (3-6 years) team. This is a full-time (9:00am to 5:00pm) fixed-term role for the remainder of the 2024 school year.
The successful candidate will be working in a Teaching Aide role in a Montessori Stage 1, 3 - 6 Years (Preschool and Kindergarten) classroom from 9:00am to 3:00pm Monday to Friday. The role also includes working 3:00pm to 5:00pm (Monday to Friday) in our 3 - 6 Years Out of School Hours classroom.
This is a varied and exciting opportunity to provide exceptional educational guidance to preschool children.

About You:
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic educator with a minimum Certificate III in Children’s Services. A reputable 3-6 Montessori Diploma or 3-6 Montessori Orientation Certificate is an advantage but not necessary. Applicants must be committed to inclusive learning practices, be a team-player and love working with curious and engaging children.
You must have full Australian working rights, with no restrictions. You will have a Working with Children Check number, a Child Protection Certificate (CHCPRT001) and a valid ACECQA recognised first-aid and CPR qualification are also essential, however, the School would support the successful applicant to obtain these, if necessary.

- Have a passion for children’s development;
- Develop strong, nurturing relationships with the children based on respect and trust;
- An ability to support the child in their development by working closely with the child's family with good communication, leadership and understanding;
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
