About this role...
This is a a great role for a Commercial Litigation lawyer with 3+ years PAE with a desire to become an Accredited Commercial Litigation Specialist. Working alongside a highly experienced Practitioner, you will have the opportunity to support in all stages of the litigation process, including contractual, insurance, joint venture and sale of business disputes.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will therefore include:-
- discovery
- draft affidavits, letters of advice and submissions
- file management
- appearance work
- client liaison
- legal research (Austlii and Westlaw) and analysis
About you...
The ideal candidate will be diligent, pro-active and client focussed with strong technical/drafting skills. This role best suits candidates who thrive in a more relaxed work atmosphere but still appreciate professionalism and hard work.
- 3+ years post-admission experience
- An engaging manner with excellent communication skills at all levels
- The ability to understand complex transactional structures and manage the competing priorities of clients, files, procedures and professional development
- A team-oriented approach
- Well developed negotiation skills and attention to detail
