We’re looking for a Commercial Litigation Lawyer for our boutique law firm in Collins St.
Nevile & Co have been in business for more than 50 years and have a large clientele and 5-star Google review rating.
You will be assisted by other lawyers in other areas to assist our clients no matter what they need.
You will also have the support of several interns.
Who you are:
- A lawyer with 4-6 years PQE
- Substantial commercial and litigation experience with a commercially pragmatic outlook
- A team player who likes working with others in a collaborative environment and can assist lawyers in other areas where problems require multiple fields of expertise
- Good attention to detail and ability to manage your time
- Ability to act independently and handle files with little oversight
- Asian language skills, particularly Mandarin, handy on occasion but not essential
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Being responsible for existing commercial files in conjunction with another commercial lawyer and Commercial Litigation files
- Familiar with court and tribunal procedures and appearances where appropriate
- Briefing Counsel where necessary
- Managing clients and stakeholders, with a good service level and ability to negotiate when problems inevitably arise.
- Participating in the firm’s marketing activities
