We now have an exciting opportunity available for a 3rd Party Works Senior Engineer to join our Networks team in Eagle Farm, full time for 1 year.
Reporting to the Team Lead - Engineering Projects, you will lead a variety of engineering projects and programs and contributes to the improvement of engineering practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and lead engineering projects and programs in various domains and contexts, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and objectives
- Apply advanced knowledge and skills in engineering principles, methods, and tools to design, develop, implement, and evaluate engineering solutions that meet the needs and expectations of clients and stakeholders
- Solve complex technical problems and deliver high-quality specialist solutions, using innovation, creativity, and change management skills
- Conduct research and development activities to advance engineering knowledge and practice, and to create new technologies or improve existing ones
- Communicate effectively and collaboratively with various audiences and disciplines, using appropriate verbal, written, and visual methods and tools
- Demonstrate ethical and professional conduct, and adhere to relevant standards, codes, and regulations in engineering practice
Your background
- Tertiary qualification in an engineering discipline
- Theoretical knowledge and the ability to apply advanced engineering concepts, theories, and principles to various engineering problems and situations
- Practical application using engineering methods, tools, and techniques to design, develop, implement, and evaluate engineering solutions in a systematic and rigorous manner
- Innovation and creativity to generate original and novel ideas, and to adapt and improve existing engineering solutions to changing needs and contexts
- Ethical and perform with integrity, honesty, and responsibility, and to uphold the values and principles of the engineering profession
About the Team
Networks manages and operates transmission pipelines and local distribution networks that deliver gas to around 1.4 million households and businesses across Australia.
This is an exciting time for the Networks team, we are growing and expanding with many new projects, including 2032 Olympics. Also, we have a strong culture of continuous improvement and working towards Net Zero with the introduction of renewable green gas into the Gas Networks. We need people who are courageous, nimble and ready to make a positive impact.
