Aboriginal Disability Liaison Officer

The Walhallow Aboriginal Corporation provides Aboriginal Medical Services in Quirindi, Coledale (Tamworth) and surrounding localities. We are a multi-disciplinary service working with and within our communities to provide high standards of care.

We are keen to employ someone experienced in NDIS and disability services within the local communities, to commence in the immediate future. 

What we are looking for:

Please note that Walhallow Aboriginal Corporation considers that it is a genuine occupational requirement that the person appointed be of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent under Section 14 of the NSW Anti-Discrimination Act 1977. 

Please ensure that you explain your suitability by providing information about each of these critical items in a cover letter in addition to submitting your resume:

• Identifying as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.
• Any relevant qualifications.
• Demonstrated understanding of the unique issues affecting and impacting upon the health of Aboriginal people and access to appropriate local services.
• Experience, knowledge and skills suitable for success within a multi-disciplinary team, including sound computer, written and spoken communication skills
• Demonstrated organisation, prioritisation and time management skills
• First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain / update.
• Possession of a current driver’s licence.

• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
• Able to work under pressure.
