What you'll be doing
- The Aboriginal Education Officer under the guidance of the Director Aboriginal Health and Community Relations will coordinate, facilitate and deliver the Respecting the Difference training in collaboration with partnering organisations and Aboriginal communities to comply with the NSW Ministry of Health requirements and guidelines.
- The role will also provide a high level of cultural support, advocacy and leadership across the Far West to support the development to increase cultural safety and awareness within the workplace.
- The role will be required to assist with lead, manage and coordinate health promotion events across the Far West.

- Demonstrated knowledge of the history and impact of colonisation on the health and of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples' access to equitable health care services.
- Relevant qualification of a Certificate IV in training and assessment or willingness to complete the qualification requirement.
- Demonstrated experience in developing, delivering and evaluating training that enhances cultural and diversity awareness.
- Excellent communication, including interpersonal and negotiation skills, with a demonstrated ability to effectively manage relationships and work as part of a team.
- Demonstrated time management and organisation skills, including the ability to work independently and within a team. High level of computer literacy skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Demonstrates participation and engagement in Health Promotion events.
- Current NSW driver's licence and commitment to travel across the district
