About the opportunity
As the Education Services Officer (Peer Programs), you will be responsible for the coordination, delivery and review of the peer mentoring, assistance and social support programs, along with customised programs for the CET + Learning Hub. This role will include work streams of student services, public relations, events and communications, staff services, data collection and reporting systems of complex projects.
You will oversee all aspects of peer facilitated and student engagement programs within the CET+ Learning Hub portfolios. This will include recruitment of Peer Facilitators and students for a wide scope of diverse peer facilitated programs, daily operations and administration support, and providing extensive feedback and reporting on these programs.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- assist with the design, implementation, project management and actively promotion of programs to assist students with the transition into university life which include Speak and Connect, CET Group Study Programs and CET Engagement Program
- plan and schedule offerings aligned with the student lifecycle with both internal and external stakeholders through presentations and faculty events, orientation, graduation, Welcome Week and conferences
- create a work schedule for peer facilitators, including booking rooms, venue, equipment and assisting with programs logistics including catering and suppliers
- prepare reports and documentation including surveys, briefs and guides, statistical data and analysis, and follow up on recommendations and outcomes to implement continuous improvement in relation to the delivery of peer facilitated programs
- contribute to the professional development and ongoing support of CET+ Learning Hub peer facilitators
- support communications of activities of Peer Programs to students, including creating a range of marketing, promotional and training materials to staff and students.
About you
- tertiary qualifications and/or relevant work experience in a related field
- demonstrated experience in a digital work environment using specialised programs, database and information retrieval systems, in-house publishing programs, word processing programs and website maintenance
- ability to plan, design and develop systems and procedures for efficient resources allocation, work plans and outcomes.
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to liaise with staff at all levels, international students, and other areas of the university as necessary
- strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- strong working knowledge of Excel and other MS Office applications.
