Role Details:
Reporting to the Superintendent: Aboriginal Engagement, you will be responsible for supporting the regional approach to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander attraction, retention, engagement, and development across the Australian business in accordance with the RAP Action Plan, the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Engagement and Employment and Retention Strategy for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees to track engagement and escalate any concerns or issues for resolution.

The role will be based in the Perth Office, however significant travel will be required to our sites.

About the role:
- Leading toolbox meetings, investigations, training assisting with the implementation, and participating in and contributing to audits.
- Support wellbeing, participation, and social outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees by acting as a key point of contact for provision of pastoral care to new and at-risk employees.
- Establish regular routine of personal engagement with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees, to gather and record insights about their experience and wellbeing and identify and current challenges or concerns. Refer to the appropriate leadership, People and Engagement and other stakeholders for the effective resolution of any issues that are identified.
- Assist employees to access well-being support such as Employee Assistance Program and other relevant support programs.
- Participate in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employee forums and other site and regional initiatives.
- Supporting the Community and Talent Acquisition teams, by attending career employment expos and relevant community events that may generate interest in working at Gold Fields.
About you:
- Tertiary qualification in related discipline or equivalent is desirable
- 1-3 Years experience in an Aboriginal Engagement advisor/recruitment or community relations role
- Competent level in Microsoft Office applications
- Valid National Police Clearance
- Experience in using Success Factors, Visio and or similar is desirable
