The Institute for Urban Indigenous Health (IUIH) leads the development, planning and delivery of comprehensive primary health care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people living in South East Queensland.
Moreton Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander Community Health Service (MATSICHS) is committed to providing holistic health care to improve the health and well-being of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the Moreton Bay area. We have clinics across the Moreton Bay region including locations at Caboolture, Morayfield, Deception Bay, Margate and Strathpine.

About the Role?
To perform this role, it is essential that the incumbent is an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person. It is therefore a genuine occupational requirement under section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991.
We are looking for Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Health workers who is passionate about improving the health of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. The successful candidates will provide high quality services including assessment, examination, treatment and case management, along with contributing to the development of models of holistic health incorporating continuity of care. As a part of IUIH’s ongoing growth and development, you will be joining a community-focused team within our MATSICHS Team.
We have a full-time Permanent position available within our MATSICHS Morayfield Clinic. Within this role, you are required to:
- Provide health screening for clients and families
- Provide specialist screenings and assessments in line with the endorsed programs
- Identify barriers that exist for clients and families when attending the clinic and provide services in their home or community in keeping with scope of practice
About You?
- Current C Class Drivers Licence (Qld)
- Current Criminal History Check (willing to obtain)
- Current Blue Card
- Current Disability Workers Screening Card (Yellow Card)
- Minimum Certificate III in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care
Desirable, but not mandatory:
- Demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and /or communities.
