We are looking for Aboriginal Mental Health Workers to join our workforce and enhance the accessibility of Mental Health services to Aboriginal people and communities.
Qualifications & experience
- Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Nursing or Occupational Therapy and eligible for registration with appropriate Board, or tertiary qualification in Social Work and eligible for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers or the Society of Professional Social Workers.
- Demonstrated advanced skills in community health management of, risk assessment, crisis intervention
- and case management practice.
- Significant, extensive and recent experience in the practice of their profession in community based
- health services.
- Demonstrated ability to work alone and within a multidisciplinary team with advanced written, verbal
- and interpersonal communication skills.
- Current knowledge and obligations of relevant legislative, policy and practise in Mental Health including
- the National Standards for Mental Health Service, the Western Australian Mental Act (2014).
- Working knowledge of computer use and information systems relevant to the position.
- Current C Class drivers Licence and an ability and willingness to travel including overnight stays away from home.
