Fusion Australia, a national youth and community organisation is looking for casual Recovery Support Workers for weekday, weekend and some fill in night shift hours at the Fusion Mental Health Units in Geraldton that supports people experiencing mental ill-health.
We are looking for enthusiastic and compassionate workers who would like to join our motivated and positive team to contribute to the lives of people as they learn to live well no matter what is happening.
The Recovery Support workers’ role is to:
• Work within policies, procedure and guidelines established by Fusion Australia to support the Recovery Journey of FMHU Residents
• Work as part of an awesome team to build a safe environment within the FMHU that supports residents on their journey of recovery that will enable them to grow in independence and esteem
• Support our residents in cleaning, cooking, shopping, transport and other activities as outlined in Resident’s Support/Service Plan

SELECTION CRITERIA
Essential Criteria:
Cert IV Mental Health or equivalent experience or Cert IV Community Services or equivalent experience.
Current WWC Card
Current Nation Police Certificate (issued in the last 3 months)
Current Driver’s Licence
Current Provide First Aid Certificate.
Desirable Criteria:
Practical Skills – Have good cleaning and general domestic skills.
Interpersonal Skills – Have good communication skills both verbal and in writing, ability to work with challenging clients, and be able to work both in a team and independently.
Time management – Have good organisational skills with ability to start and finish tasks in a timely manner and be able to plan and initiate tasks as needed.
Miscellaneous – Have relevant knowledge of Mental Health and the Mental Health sector. Have an understanding of Mental Health Recovery and ability to support individuals on their recovery journey while promoting autonomy, choice and independence.
