ABOUT AEMG Academic Division
The Academic Division is responsible for delivery of AEMG academic programs and the oversight and management of educational programs delivered by partner universities. These include Teaching Visit delivery by partners, English language courses delivered as part of degree programs in China, the DEP English language test, Bachelors, Masters, and Doctoral Qualifying Programs and academic subjects delivered on behalf of global university partners and International Credit Courses delivered in Chinese Universities.
ABOUT the position
The Academic Course Coordinator is responsible for the academic content, management and delivery of relevant discipline courses delivered in AEMG programs and AEMG courses delivered through partner universities. These courses include those in Collaborative Articulation Partnership (CAP) programs, Qualifying Programs and other discipline courses required by partner universities throughout China. You will play a vital role in ensuring the academic quality of relevant discipline courses as well as developing and teaching engaging discipline content to be delivered in face-to-face and hybrid modes of teaching. You will provide support to key internal and external stakeholders and work with colleagues in the AEMG's Education Department to ensure that all delivered courses meet quality expectations and teaching and learning outcomes are fulfilled.
Key Responsibilities
Planning & Developing - Coordinate and contribute to course mapping for relevant discipline courses and liaise with relevant course coordinators, teaching operations staff and program leads on matters related to the planning and delivery of courses.
Teaching & Learning - Collaborate with the Director of Teaching & Learning, develop engaging discipline content and assessments in multiple media formats; deliver relevant discipline courses in hybrid mode teaching including face-to-face mode in Chinese partner universities.
Quality Assurance and Compliance - Participate in ensuring compliance with institutional policies, regulatory standards, and accreditation requirements related educational programs, curriculum design, and teaching practices.
Required Experience and Qualifications
- PhD in a relevant discipline
- Minimum of 2 years' teaching experience in higher education
- Experience and proficiency in teaching using learning management system
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
- Knowledge of academic program development, curriculum design and accreditation processes.
The role is primarily based in Melbourne with travel to China for teaching as required up to 10 weeks per year.
