We’re looking for a strategically-minded Account Director to join our Adelaide office. Working on a portfolio of high-profile clients, you will need a head for numbers, a heart for creativity and a strong instinct when it comes to building relationships.
You’ll be comfortable discussing all aspects of your client’s business at multiple levels, from brand manager to board member. Working closely with our Head of Strategy, you will enjoy the process of finding insights, shaping the creative response to deliver brand platforms and campaigns that grow businesses.
A leader with outstanding interpersonal skills, you will help our Head of Account Service mentor a team of talented Account Managers and Account Executives. You’ll be comfortable delegating to your team and trusting them to deliver high quality work while also sharing your knowledge and maintaining accountability.
What you bring:
- A degree in marketing, communications, media, psychology or similar is preferred.
- 7-10 years’ project management experience in an advertising agency or similar.
- Experience working directly with clients, providing end-to-end project management from taking briefs, presenting strategy and creative work.
- Experience overseeing complex production projects in partnership with an Agency Producer is desirable.
- Ability to build successful relationships with clients and an understanding of their business – adding value to all areas.
- Ability to build successful internal relationships, understand the roles of colleagues and respect their input.
- A team player, but with the ability to work autonomously – a delegator and supervisor, motivator and teacher, with an exceptional eye for detail.
- Experienced financial manager – quotes, budgets and retainers, providing accurate revenue forecasting and ensuring that accounts are profitable.
- The ability to follow agency systems and procedures.
- Experience writing successful tenders and new business proposals.
- Experience working on social change campaigns, health, education, FMCG or tourism would be an advantage.
