About the role
We seek a capable Account Manager for our Melbourne office to deliver successful outcomes for well-recognised brands. You will work closely with our creative and multi-disciplinary team of designers to help shape and deliver projects.
This role primarily focuses on design lead projects which include the development of place branding and wayfinding solutions. Whilst the practicality of wayfinding plays a vital role in navigating spaces, a well-considered solution will help to create memorable and enjoyable experiences within all kinds of environments. Therefore, the successful candidate will ideally demonstrate a sound understanding or appreciation for architecture and urban spaces.
Working alongside our business development team, you will be involved from the outset pitching for projects, developing client briefs, participating in workshops and supporting the design team in developing the most appropriate solution.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to our Director of Design, the primary responsibilities for this role include:
- supporting the sales process by contributing to the writing of proposals
- managing client presentations and workshops
- supporting the creative process by co-developing client project briefs
- managing and negotiating timelines and budgets throughout each stage
- maintaining positive relationships with our multi-disciplined design studio
- leading the financial management of your accounts including accurate cost estimates, forecasting and timely invoicing.
Skills and experience
- demonstrated Account Management or Client Services experience
- excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- capable researcher, gathering client and sector knowledge
- ability to manage a project and be the day-to-day point of client contact, maintaining a positive and proactive relationship
- scope management /negotiation skills/forecasting and managing job costs.
