What’s the opportunity?
We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to join our Lumify sales team. Based in Canberra, you will play a pivotal role in fostering and maintaining relationships with key clients. Your primary responsibility as Account Manager is to create opportunities and drive business growth within your portfolio of accounts. In this role, you will leverage your network and relationships to identify and convert prospects, building long-lasting customer connections as a trusted provider of training solutions. Excellent communication, negotiation and analytical skills are essential for identifying market trends, evaluating potential opportunities and developing innovative solutions.

What will you do?

  • Representing the full suite of IT, Process and Cybersecurity training solutions, proactively identify and evaluate new business opportunities within your portfolio of accounts.
  • Present recommended solutions and provide strategic advice to communicate value for the client.
  • Strive to achieve and exceed challenging KPIs and sales targets, supported by effective planning and time management practices to maximise selling activities.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitors, and conduct market analysis for business growth.
  • Work on account development plans and account mapping opportunities.
  • Proactively manage pipeline, prioritising and continually adding new opportunities.
  • Use a consultative selling approach to ensure long term relationship building.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as marketing and product specialists, to align strategies and maximise selling opportunities.
  • Update all sales activities, opportunities and account information in CRM.
  • Be self-motivated and maintain consistent, high levels of energy and focus à have a growth mindset.
 What have you accomplished?
 
  •  Proven track record in an Account Manager or business development manager role, preferably in the Information Technology or Professional Services industries.
  • A minimum five years’ experience in face-to-face selling in the B2B space, combined with a hunter mentality, working with complex sales solutions involving multiple stakeholders.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification or industry certification is desirable, ideally related to business or Information Technology.
  • Knowledge of technology products and domains related to this role.
  • Existing network within the government sector in Canberra is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in strategic solution selling techniques.
  • Highly developed communication and presentation skills.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills, coupled with a strategic focus on joint business planning.
  • Resilient, competitive, and target-driven nature that fuels your success.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
